Hotel Innvestor was contacted by a long tenured client about a potential development site on the main thoroughfare in the heart of Silicon Valley. HI immediately brought the opportunity to one of our partners focused on new development that also owned other hotels in the area. HI proceeded to facilitate the negotiations of a long-term ground lease with the land owner and HI’s development partner and also sourced the construction debt for the project. The result is the 127-suite Homewood Suites by Hilton Sunnyvale – Silicon Valley – which won Homewood Suites New Development of the Year award from Hilton Hotels upon opening. HI was able to source the opportunity through its extensive network of contacts, identify an active developer to execute the opportunity, facilitate the creation of a new long-term ground lease and source the construction financing.
